Today starts a lot of daily art themes and health challenges.. see the side bar for just a few.. I will upload some of them as I go here, or on their flicker pages..

free scarf pattern

QUICK AND EASY SCARF PATTERN


















I used Caron Simply Soft, worsted weight yarn, out of a 6oz skein, I used about 4oz for a 60” scarf. You could keep going and make it nice and long.. Knit loose and soft.



13 Needles



CO 21 loosely


Knit 3 rows


Pattern:


K3, { YO, SK2P, YO, K3 } 3X’S

Knit 3 rows


Repeat pattern for as long as you want your scarf ending with the Knit 3 row.


BO loosely


Abbreviations


CO…..Cast on

BO…..Bind off

K…….Knit

YO…..Yarn over

SK2P….SL 1, KNIT 2 TOG, PASS SLIPPED ST OVER K2TOG.

Time really got away from me. A lot of adjustments and health issues.
I hope to be settled this coming year and post more. I have written another knitting pattern and will post it for freebie. I just have to write it up on word.. I just finished Christmas cards and have a few other things to do .
Then the first of the year I will be in the SKETCKBOOK CHALLENGE, I have a button- I just learned how to put that on. now I need to go get willows. But check it out you might like to join the fun.. I will post here and on their flicker page..
I can not post daily so I will try to post weekly. ADD makes it hard- I have about 9 projects surrounding me.. slowly clearing out each one. Bye for now- Happy Holidays and a Bright and Wonderful new year to come for us all.

art in the park in June

Kate, Jackie and I did art in the park last weekend- sssooooo hot !! but good seeing friends.
Saw my friend Pat from the litchfield exchange today. Her and Hubby have wens. night dinner, and a show by Jack Braun. It is every other wens night at 5:30 pm reservations required.. lots of fun and friends and excellent food- can't beat the prices too !! june 24- july 8 and 22 - etc....

will post pics, just needed to touch base, did not realize how long it had been- being on this , facebook, twitter, linkedin, art bistro, spark people, my space,etc- it gets spread thin....

wonderful weekend !! weather was fabulous. I sold the 2nd shekerie I had made, need to put up a picture.
then the next weekend I went to MD sheep and wool fest in MD and it was fabulous !! cool and did rain sunday, but sale were excellent all of the cotton wreaths and some patterns and handspun yarns.. good Friends, good fun. saw my son and his family too.. Looking forward to next year...
Met Amy with www.Knitty.com and a ton of Ravelry'ers !! going to do a few yard sales and have another art sale at the Lazy Gator, may 23 in Murrels Inlet,SC. make more shekeries..

I am not happy with the green dyed angora I spun- I did not have enough dye.. I did get a basket of mohair washed to take to maryland and have made into roving.. hate carding..

last day, thing-a-day

I will miss thing-a-day, but it was hard to show a finished creation for me as I have projects of all kinds started, 1/2 finished and almost finished... I finished plying my angora that I had out. the lendrom and skein winder have been put back into my bedroom.. on to my other projects. nice to complete a mission.....

2 days left... I finally finished the cloth pattern I have been working on for a while. now to type up the 2 patterns I have written, for a show in may.

24 & 25 thing a day

I have been busy with several things going as usual, ADHD- ( I am getting meds for it, we'll see if it hurts or helps) anyway day 24 is the painting " Breakfast" and day 25 is the plied angora I am still working on. this lendrom wheel is hard to use the ply for fine angora and hunking it on the bobbin... I am trying to finish just a little bit on 1 bobbin. the other bobbin I will put in a baggy and wait til I move to spin, more to ply it with. I still have 2 whites, to ply. anxiety is taking its toll on my health.

# 23 on thing-a-day

thing-a-day is almost over. It is only for Feb. I am adding more to this painting, needed to put up something, been spinning. I did finish the mar de gras shekerie, but you all have already seen these so far, they all need more done. I will continue on my blog, but it will be finished items instead of 1/2 for everyday.

19 - 22 spinning angora

I have been spinning the most luscious angora from Connie Delamater s farm in MD. A great friend and shepherdess. I am also writing a cloth pattern. I was not happy with the first one and tried to fix it several ways, but when I looked at it again today, it looks better than I thought so I am knitting another to check the pattern.
I am not feeling well and can not pin point whats going on I went to the er friday night with the lung disease, now my sugar is running so high I am tired and can not think.. hope it clears up soon.

thing a day problems

This week thing-a-day had a few problems, which was ok as I had gotten behind doing mostly spinning , I need to empty these boxes of angora to use them to pack for moving. yesterday I did paint my gourd and knee- underpainting, they both need more, but thats what I worked on. Had to work today so have not done anything but a little more spinning.

tree and drums doodles

I made paper that I enjoy drawing on and it is made from my pc papers that I would have thrown away, my way of recycling. These 2 are just doodles for 15 & 16 of thing a day. I want to make more paper, I have many trash bags accumulated of shredded papers and egg cartons. but everything is packed to move when the house is sold or auctioned so I can not play with that for now. I am writing a few patterns for cloths that one can use only 1 ball of cotton and make 2 cloths. will post when I finish, it will be a while, designing this is new for me. hope all had a great weekend. my older son Fred took me on a casino ship for V-Day. we won and lost all day and had a good time. My younger son Jayson e-mailed us a picture of one of my g-daughters, she is a doll.. made my day !!

I love trees 13

I love trees and love painting, drawing, photographing, all kinds of stuff about trees. When my friends and I plein air I always end up with at least 1 tree drawing. This is a painting I am doing about Halloween on a wooden cube.
