well this thing a day is hard to keep up with everyday , but it is a fabulous experience. Calenders are still everywhere, so I started making my own in my art journal. just doodling.

spun some of my beautiful angora. Some from my bunnies,(I used to have) and some from my fiber friends that have angora bunnies with fabulous fibers. tired and slept a lot today.

well I missed yesterday, too much going on, but I am back on track. 2 more shekeries painted. I have 1 left to paint, then I can start beading.

we have a guild inspiration for feb. to incorporate a cookie and or scissors in our art. this is my valentine with scissors. mediation monday is tomorrow....

I have fun crocheting these cones, they are so fast to do , its addictive- gave a lot out at Christmas. so I made a few more today, while on phone job.. tonight is drums on the beach !! and we are warming up !! 60 today and 60s & 70s all next week.

I finished and washed my handspun Llama yarn, natural red. I am spinning my luxury yarns for myself. I am used to spinning and selling all my handspun- so this is for me. I have spun some of my angora, silk, soy silk, camel down, etc just for me... really enjoying it.

we had snow this morning !! second one this year... I finished the second fingerless bling for feb. Now I will have them for drums on the beach sat night.:o)

HI, I just finished knitting my son Jaysons scarf, winter is not over yet, so I am not too late. Thanks Thing-a-day for the push to finish. I worked on it off and on all day.

thing-a-day

I joined www.thing-a-day.com as fluffnstuff. we are to put up a picture of something creative we have done everyday for the month of feb. it started yesterday and my pic was crochet hearts, I have been sitting here at my phone job and making them for another large project I have.

plein air, gym, drums on the beach

Forgot the camera !! Today was my day. I joined the gym for the 12 week -free, choose to loose challange- hope to drop 30 lbs, I had gained back.. exciting.. then I walked on the beach for about a 1/2 hour sat in the sand and just enjoyed the day- 60s and sunny. Then our Plein air group met at the art attack, adult ed school to promote the art classes they have and to sketch out on the 21st world wide sketch crawl !! I did 3 will post later , have to take a pic etc... met a great kid named mathew that played drums- which was leading up to my next adventure for the day, I went to drums on the beach, and he was going so I knew someone ( even though I just met him). Drums on the beach was so fabulous, excellent, exsillerating (spell?), I loved it. The moon was the fullest it will be this year goreous, campfire- how cool is that and people beating drums, shakers, tamberines - it was mezmerizing, I can not wait for the next one.. They have it once a month and I am so there. !!! again forgot camera, got a few pics with cell phone, do not know if they are any good until I unload. what a great day... needed that.

my napaholic

I had to put in a picture of my little helper/ napaholic. I had woke him up taking some pictures of him. Happy New Year to all... it is 10:57 pm now.. almost here...

gourds

I finally gave up on the blue dye, I tried sanding , with no difference. I went ahead and painted it, it does look good. The red heart did fine and still looks good against the paint. afew other gourds and my helper Mooshie. I did not want to waste the paint it is a perlacryl.

dyed soy silk

I have been working on my soy silk- so wonderful to spin, although the angora is starting to call me. I only have a little silk left. I love my Jensen Wheel too.

Lovin life

I am having a hard time managing everything. I love it all painting ,drawing, gourds, knees, shells, also my spinning , crochet, knitting, weaving, collage, clay, it just goes on and on. I have been able to decide to sell my bobbin lace pillow I made with help from my friend. also decided to sell my felting stuff. 2 out of 100 is a start...

my CD art

I have been working on this idea for almost 2 years now. last year about this time I tried to work with SCORE to get a start up SBA backed loan. He directed me wrong and did not really help me. I needed it in place at the begining of the tourist season here to make a go of the venture without a big start-up expense. The company he had me go to over the internet had me jump through all kinds of hoops, such as bank account, LLC name, etc and then at the end of the summer said they would not even give me 1/2 of the amount I wanted and the man from SCORE said do not take it because it was not SBA backed loan like I requested and I could loose my house. I am taking my CD art to Etsy and to the visiter centers at the beach to see if I can sell them that way.

Here are some of the birdhouses. Kate, Jackie and I had done these. Then my son Fred and his freinds came over to the beach and Fred and Jamie painted some. They all had bids at the Habitat for Humanity Auction. we felt good just for having fun painting at the beach on a beautiful day.

It has been a long time since my last entry and a lot has happened that took up time. I will try to get back to the blog. we painted bird houses for habitat. They will be auctioned off on June 8th 2008. I will get to pictures too.
